JHill Lead Consultant - JB Hill

Janelle Hill is presently the President & Lead Consultant of PBSM/Federal Concierge, LLC and Director of the Federal Capital Planning & Investment Control (CPIC) Forum. In these roles, Janelle consults to businesses, contractors and the federal government. Janelle offers more than fourteen years’ comprehensive experience in conducting business with and for the government, with a mastery of service specialties that align with Offices of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs).

Through Federal Concierge LLC, its alliances and clients, Janelle serves as an advisor and consultant in the arenas of financial analysis, budget preparation, artifact auditing and development and technology investment management in the government. Janelle works directly for CIO Program Management Offices (PMOs); directing and supporting senior management with their portfolio management, information technology (security) and capital planning investment initiatives.

Also a published author, Janelle has written extensively for clients and as an advocate for military and special needs families; producing white papers, all facets of proposal support, technical requirements, Capital Asset business case justifications, Capital Portfolio Investment Control documents and a variety of governance documentation products for Congressional reviews. Janelle is co-author of the Capital Planning and Investment Control Guidebook, The Wounded Warrior Handbook ("The Red Book"), The Wounded Warrior Handbook Second Edition, Life After The Military: A Handbook For Transitioning Military, Special Needs Families In The Military: A Resource Guide, The Military Marriage Manual.

Janelle is a graduate of East Carolina University, National Defense University, and Syracuse University; with a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Information Management from Syracuse University. Janelle holds a Masters of CIO Studies Certificate, Masters of Information Assurance Certificate and two additional CIO Certificates from National Defense University and General Services Administration (GSA). JHill Shawn Battle

Mr. Battle is a senior level management consultant and subject matter expert in the areas of Enterprise Architecture (EA), Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), and Information Assurance (IA).  Mr. Battle has worked with a number of public and private organizations across the country including the New York City Police Department (NYPD), AOL Time Warner, Netscape, Arlington National Cemetery, National Gallery of Art, National Cathedral School, and the US Departments of Defense, Education, Labor, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs. Mr. Battle’s professional accomplishments include organizational business transformation; the successful completion of large scale national programs and project management; information assurance and risk mitigation planning, implementation, and management; along with systems and network integration, administration, and engineering. 

Mr. Battle is currently a General Manager at SEB Chartered; an EA and CPIC instructor for ESI International; and on the Board of Advisors for the Federal CPIC Forum.  He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  Mr. Battle has an undergraduate degree in Information Systems and International Affairs; he has also completed his graduate studies at George Mason University and holds a Masters of Science in Technology Management and his CIO certification in Federal Executive Competencies.  During his personal time Mr. Battle occasionally works with Greater DC Cares as a volunteer project coordinator.
